NOSE: Ripe mandarin and blood orange, tones of aromatic apricots, braised pineapple with and juicy ripe pear.
PALATE: A medium to full-bodied style displaying flavours of exotic tropical fruits, ripe apricot and honeyed pear with touches of floral and ginger spice. Rich and textural with fine citrus acidity and just a touch of residual sweetness to finish the palate.
WINEMAKING COMMENTS: Viognier has always performed well in the Granite Belt, producing complex wines with an elegance and floral intensity not always seen in Viognier from warmer regions. For this wine we have chosen to blend with a parcel of South Australian Viognier from warmer vineyard sites, combining the fuller-body and round warm spices that are typical of warmer climate Viognier with the more delicate lighter bodied style from the Granite Belt.
FOOD MATCHING: Enjoy with slightly spicy Asian style dishes such as Pad Thai.
CELLARING: Drink now until 2019
