With a fresh outlook and simple food philosophy; cooking ‘real’ food utilising seasonal, local and organic produce, Mathew is dishing up fresh new menus offering food and wine lovers the ultimate winery experience. “I am thrilled to be heading up the team at Sirromet and creating new cutting-edge dishes to complement each of Sirromet’s unique dining experiences” Said Mathew Mathew is well known and respected in the industry, having worked at Lakehouse (Daylesford), qualia (Hamilton island), Stokehouse (Melbourne) and most recently opening Matt Moran’s, Little Big House (Brisbane). “I am looking forward to evolving my cooking style at Sirromet, incorporating all there is to offer here. I have already started experimenting utilising the yeast lees from the Cabernet in our own hand-made sourdough and we will continue to make our own honey, jams and preserves” “I am also keen to create a restaurant garden full of fresh seasonal fruit & vege, including native and heirloom varieties, in an aim to create unique seasonal driven menus everyone can enjoy. “ Sirromet’s headquarters at Mount Cotton is home to 3 restaurants; Cellar Door Café offering casual relaxed dining, Tuscan Terrace with alfresco dining under the shade of the fig trees in the Amoroso area and the fine dining Restaurant Lurleen’s, with breathtaking views out to Moreton Bay and the sand ridges of Stradbroke Island. Now open for lunch 7 days a week, on the new menu at the Cellar Door café you will find a simple and delicious mix of gourmet burgers, café’ style meals, local artisan cheeses and regional taste plates. Sirromet’s Tuscan Terrace, has a Tuscan inspired menu featuring handmade pasta, wood fired pizzas and charcuterie boards, perfect for sharing.
