On-Site Cellar Door Sales

The role:

We are looking for a casual staff member to work in our On-Site Sales department. As a member of the Cellar Door On-site Sales team your key focus will be to increase wine sales to visitors through tours and wine tastings at our Cellar Door using your natural sales ability. Your working week would include Saturday and Sunday with full availability to work across the weekday rosters.

Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Wine and membership sales in our Cellar Door
  • Wine tastings
  • Conducting tours of our property
  • Participating in wine training to ensure high levels of product knowledge

What we are looking for:

To be successful in your application you will need to possess the following knowledge, skills and attributes:

  • Passion for wine with a strong wine knowledge base with the eagerness to learn more and share this knowledge
  • Recent experience in a wine sales environment
  • A WSET qualification is advantageous, but not mandatory
  • A friendly and engaging personality
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to present to both small to large groups
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Trustworthy and reliable
  • Superb presentation and grooming
  • Own reliable transport as there is no public transport to our premises

The Roles:

We are currently seeking experienced food and beverage waitstaff to join our team! As an experienced, self-motivated and passionate hospitality professional you will have a natural ability to build rapport quickly with our guests to ensure they receive a memorable experience when they visit Sirromet Wines.

These casual positions will suit someone who is able to work a variety of shifts, weekends are essential as are late nights working over a 7-day roster.

Business Development Executive, Wedding and Events

The role:

We are looking for a Business Development Executive to generate further business growth with bookings for Weddings, Events & functions at Sirromet. Working Tuesday to Saturday, your key responsibilities will require you to:

  • Work and support the sales manager to maximise bookings from enquiries;
  • Present our facilities and provide package information to potential clients
  • Prepare function, event and wedding contracts (and handle all related correspondence);
  • Build strong and successful business relationships with all stakeholders;
  • Represent and promote the winery and brand at exhibitions and marketing events;
  • Develop wedding product offerings to maintain a competitive, cutting edge in the market.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years recent event sales track record in a similar role;
  • iVvy software experience (preferred);
  • Motivated and able to work under pressure;
  • Positive, engaging and enthusiastic personality;
  • Superb presentation and grooming;
  • Effective and efficient computer, time management, written and verbal communication skills;
  • A genuine commitment to making every guest feel special and exceed the customer’s expectations;

Restaurant Supervisor

The Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our team to work predominantly in our Tuscan Terrace restaurant. As Restaurant Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting the operations of the restaurant and leading the team to provide exceptional service to our guests. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.

The Restaurant Supervisor may be required to work in any of our food and beverage outlets (including functions), so adaptability, versatility and an ability to work wherever you are needed within our business is key!  We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic restaurant professional with an attentive and personable service style. In this role your responsibilities expand to leading the shift, providing supportive training and lifting the floor team to deliver great service experiences.

This position will work various shifts over a 7-day roster, and availability on weekends, late nights and public holidays are also required.
