2017 Le Sauvage Chardonnay
COLOUR: Rich yellow gold with green edges.
NOSE: Ripe fig and rockmelon infused with delicate toasted butterscotch and nutty vanilla oak.
PALATE: A bold, sophisticated Chardonnay, not for the faint hearted. A fusion of yellow and pink grapefruit, green apple, and quince with layers of waxy lemon and lime. Hints of toasted almond and brioche notes from the wild yeast, along with a slight creaminess from the malolactic portion, deliver a long palate with seamlessly balanced, fruit, oak and acidity. Richly textured and delightfully balanced with a flinty vein of zesty grapefruit acidity.
