Saint Jude’s Merlot

REGION: Granite Belt, Australia
COLOUR: Black Cherry with purple tones
NOSE: Plump ripe plums, rhubarb and chocolate and vanilla.
PALATE: Intense Merlot fruit, lifted fruitcake characters and
blueberries, powerful tannins, and elegant oak, all integrated into a
great long length palate that persists for ages.
WINEMAKING COMMENTS:
2010 was a good year for making Merlot, and of that parcel of
Merlot, we extracted a small parcel of intense Merlot pressings
that we kept separate for aging and developing, it was so good we
decided to bottle it as a single winemaking style.

Enjoy with oven roasted duck and sautéed mushrooms.
