NOSE: An intense perfume of violets, cassis, plum and blackberries.
PALATE: Opulent varietal Cabernet Sauvignon with rich concentrated palate of plum, blueberries and blackberry with touches of fresh herbs. Firm dense tannins and the use of the finest French oak, enhanced by firm acidity, gives depth to the palate and an elegant finish.
WINEMAKING COMMENTS: With challenging weather conditions, 2017 was a low-yielding year for red grapes in the Granite Belt. Despite
conditions, fruit quality was still high and very varietal, a good example of quality from the Granite Belt fruit. Aged in mostly French oak for 15 months.
FOOD MATCHING: Enjoy with oven roasted plum glazed duck, truffle mash, snow peas and purple carrots.
CELLARING: Drink now until 2022
