NOSE: Lifted aromas of white strawberry, Jonathan apple and grapefruit with vanilla biscuit and citrus notes.
PALATE: Fresh, lean, tight, pretty palate showing restrained white strawberry and musk from the Pinot Noir and crisp Jonathan apple and citrus fruits from the Chardonnay. Extended aging on lees adds delicate brioche and shortbread characters resulting in a premium sparkling with beautiful structure, palate weight and vibrant acidity.
WINEMAKING COMMENTS: Made in the hand-crafted methode traditionnelle style, the 2012 vintage was a particularly good growing season, especially for Pinot Noir. This Pinot dominant blend spent 6 years on lees to develop an elegant complexity and richness.
