Sirromet Wines Unleashes Into The US Market

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 24: Sirromet Wines of Queensland exclusively launched their home delivery USA business this week at a private exhibition held at the Beverley Hills Hilton Hotel CA in partnership with the Last Chance for Animals Gala ball.

US celebrities Priscilla Presley, Mena Suvari, Donna D'Errico, Kim Dejesus, Roxy Darr, Adrienne Janic, Bonnie-Jill Laflin, Australia's own Nicky Whelan and Hugh Sheridan to name a few, enjoyed a selection of Sirromet's wines at the charity event.

General Manager of Sirromet Rod Hill attended: "When presented the opportunity to support LCA in their annual gala fundraiser, we jumped at it. We have a business that we have built by being very mindful of the principles of giving back and supporting those with shared values. We are fortunate to be home to over 100 species of wildlife on our 500 acre winery and are working very closely with the RSPCA to develop wildlife education programs on-site in the future. We were delighted that our prize donations raised over $12,000 for LCA."

Having launched successful home delivery wine businesses in China, Japan and Taiwan already, the United States was the next target with both Wine Australia and Tourism Australia investing heavily to grow this market for Australian wine exports and inbound tourism.

Sirromet’s latest home delivery offering allows US residents to purchase a limited selection of their award-winning Granite Belt wines online for home delivery across 14 states in the US including California, Nevada, Alaska, Idaho, Louisiana, Nebraska, Oregon, West Virginia, District of Columbia, North Dakota, New Mexico, Virginia, Wyoming and New Hampshire.

Along with showcasing a selection of wines, Sirromet also donated a three bottle St Judes Road Grand Reserve Private Collection box of wines, consisting of its 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon, 2010 Merlot and 2010 Shiraz which raised $2,500 and an Australian Holiday including three nights at the wineries newly opened Sanctuary by Sirromet, two nights at the Stamford Plaza Hotel in Brisbane City, animal encounters and a visit to the amazing Moreton Island, raising another $10,000 for Last Chance for Animals.

Recently announced Ultimate Winery Experiences Australia’s first Queensland member winery, the UWEA group are working to attract high value travellers from the USA to Australia for food and wine experiences, which will further drive Sirromet’s home delivery USA business.

The UWEA group of wineries offer quality winery experiences based around world class wines, warm and knowledgeable hospitality and culinary excellence, allowing visitors to interact with the product, the winemaker and enjoy first-hand, the rich diversity that Australia’s many wine regions have to offer.
