2025 The Ivy Late Harvest
Description
This release of our Late Harvest is a blend of Pinot Gris and Verdelho. It is named in honour of Ivy Gwena Dossett, mother of Lurleen Morris and a mentor to Terry Morris. Her habit of sharing wine samples from her vocation as a wine and spirit manager shaped Terry's lifelong passion for wine, which ultimately led to the founding of Sirromet.
REGION: Granite Belt, Queensland.
COLOUR: Soft amber gold.
TASTING NOTES: The sweet, honeyed characters of this late harvest are layered with baked peach, honeysuckle, quince and pear, an enduring sweet tribute to Ivy.
WINEMAKING COMMENTS: Pinot Gris and Verdelho were late harvested to encourage extra ripeness and complexity of both fresh and dried stone-fruit and bright citrus flavours. The wine was matured in stainless steel with some exposure to oxygen to allow development, then bottled early to preserve freshness.
It is recommended that this wine is consumed within a day of opening, to enjoy at its best.
